AIX 5L Disk Storage Management and Recovery Procedures

PURPOSE:
This course is specially designed for AIX System Administrators. Replacing a disk is not an easy task. System administrators must know the procedures to replace and fix a disk without corrupting the systems. In essence, disk storage administration is an important part of an administration that needs sizeable consideration from management point of view. 

AUDIENCE:
This course is targeted for system administrators with at least six months experience in AIX and with other relevant education.

PREREQUISITES:
Participants should be experienced System Administrators and should have previously attended IBM AU14 with sufficient understanding of using AIX  Logical Volume Manager.

OBJECTIVES: 
At the end of this session, individual will be able to identify how to replace a disk under different conditions and able to recover from a total Volume Group failures.
