AIX Planning, Installation and Configuration

PURPOSE:
This course is designed for System Administrators. System installation is an important part of system administration of IBM System p or pSeries systems, as well as older systems that need to be upgraded.

AUDIENCE:
This course is targeted for system administrators with at least six months experience in AIX and with other relevant education.

PREREQUISITES:
Participants should be experienced System Administrators and should have previously attended IBM AU14 course.

OBJECTIVES: 
At the end of this session, individual will be able to understand mandatory prerequisites required for a trouble free installation of AIX operating system along with the configuration of basis TCP/IP networking configuration. This course also includes the creation of AIX users and taking AIX “mksysb” backup after successful installation.
