Routing is the act of moving information across an internetwork from a source to a destination. Routing involves two basic activities: determining optimal routing paths and transporting packets through an internetwork (packet switching). Although packet switching is relatively straightforward, path determination can be very complex. Routing protocols use metrics (i.e., path length, reliability, delay, bandwidth, load, and communication cost) to evaluate what path will be the best for a packet to travel.
Proper design and configuration of routers and switches is a vital part for an effective network. Si3 Engineers are certified by the industry's major networking manufacturers. With an emphasis on reliability and security, Si3 Engineers carefully work with you and the manufacturer to design the right network configuration. We focus on your organization and the processes you perform -- taking everything into account -- from existing equipment and applications, to growth planning and future system needs.
The strength of Si3 network design is our engineering staff. Our Network Engineers and Senior Network Engineers have 100+ years of collective experience in the Information Technology field designing Local Area Networks (LAN's) and Wide Area Networks (WAN's). Our staff includes Cisco certified engineers like CCIE’s, CCNP's ,CCNA's, CCDA's and network engineers like MCNE's, MCSE's, and engineers with numerous other manufacturer certifications.
In recent years, the business world has reaped tremendous benefits from the many exciting products and applications made possible by the marriage of data and voice technologies. Now the efficiencies and enhanced services resulting from that revolution are about to be eclipsed by the magnitude of change possible as data networks become the transport for voice. IP Telephony, or Voice over IP (VoIP), is the exploding new technology enabling voice to be carried over IP-based, packet-switched local and wide area networks.
While Internet Protocol (IP) technology has been utilized in long-haul carrier backbone networks for a number of years, retail Voice-over-Internet-Protocol (VoIP) services are just starting to take hold now. As a result, established and start-up carriers increasingly need to interconnect networks for smooth transmission of IP-based traffic, and must regularly interface VoIP networks with traditional Time Division Multiplex (TDM) networks. The related requirement to support multiple network technologies within and between carrier environments is a daunting reality.
The long-distance Voice over IP (VoIP) network solution is a set of network design and configuration strategies that provide trunk-level transport of global switched telephone traffic distributed over VoIP. Calls originate in the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN), are routed through interexchange carriers and are handed off to a wholesale VoIP carrier for transport. To the subscriber, the long-distaance service seems like any other inexpensive long-distance service. To the originating long-distance carrier, the wholesale carrier is only one of a number of termination options. Our team will fully capable for providing and delivering such kind of network on different hard ware plate form. The company which has already got a WAN or MAN links can use this facility over their existing links to get use the power of VOIP for voices transmission from site to site which save them lot of money for daily basis calls. The Solution will be provided to those companies which have NOC from Government in their respective countries.
MPLS stands for "Multiprotocol" Label Switching, multiprotocol because its techniques are applicable to ANY network layer protocol Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) is offered by a increasing number of carriers as a replacement for point-to-point frame relay and private IP WANs. It's especially popular for business VPNs.
MPLS offers a number of advantages over traditional point-to-point technologies, including lower cost, greater scalability, and, in many cases, improved reliability. But the top concern of enterprises considering MPLS is not its eventual benefits but how to handle the migration. Where Si3 Professional team come in to play to handle the network and implement the MPLS system on them. In Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) fuses the intelligence of routing with the performance of switching and provides significant benefits to networks with a pure IP architecture as well as those with IP and ATM or a mix of other Layer 2 technologies. MPLS technology is key to scalable virtual private networks (VPNs) and end-to-end quality of service (QoS), enabling efficient utilization of existing networks to meet future growth and rapid fault correction of link and node failure.
The technology also helps deliver highly scalable, differentiated end-to-end IP services with simpler configuration, management, and provisioning for both Internet providers and subscribers. As a packet of a connectionless network layer protocol travels from one router to the next, each router makes an independent forwarding decision for that packet. That is, each router analyzes the packet's header, and each router runs a network layer routing algorithm. Each router independently chooses a next hop for the packet, based on it analysis of the packet's header and the results of running the routing algorithm.
