First-ever real-time collaboration unites Commonwealth communities in discussion of Malaria Prevention, Narcotics Control, Web-care and Social Transformation Are Highlights of Real-Time Global Collaboration
Toronto, February 7, 2007 - Si3 has helped create the globe’s first online real-time conference on health care issues, bridging Commonwealth communities in North America, India, and the Muslim world.
“CommonPulse”, on February 6th and 7th, was dedicated to breaking down global silos for one-third of the world’s population. The goal of CommonPulse is to allow the best practices in technology and services to be shared so that costs are lowered, adoption cycles are shortened and more people are treated with better results.
More than 200 health care experts went online for the event, which featured expert panels in Toronto, Delhi and Karachi.
“The Internet can give the world now a way to share their most innovative technologies and practices,” said Ghalia Naseer, Corporate Relations Manager of SI3. “We can continually share best practices, to alleviate suffering in countries ranging from developing nations to the most developed nation: the United States. America, for example, now has the most expensive health care system on the planet, and a level of general health in its population that is lower than in most industrialized countries. We can spark the partnerships that will help Americans achieve better health care at lower cost.”
Si3 is Pakistan’s premier systems integrator firm, and a founder of the Commonwealth Advantage program, an organization to promote Canadian business and strengthen trade ties within the Commonwealth. The Commonwealth Advantage, headed by former Industry Minister Sinclair Stevens, seeks out immediate and long-term strategic trade alliance opportunities for Commonwealth businesses, emphasizing the high-tech industry sectors.
